RETAIL STORE MANAGEMENT
Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, Managers in Training, Assistant Manager of Merchandising, Assistant Manager of Operations.
The Store Management team leads in total operation of the store and is responsible for:
- Overall performance of the store
- Managing staff and resources to generate maximum sales
- Recruiting and development of staff
- Maintaining store appearance and merchandise presentation
- Controlling store expenses, payroll budget and shrinkage dollars
Requirements
- Depending on position, minimum of 1-3 years prior retail experience with a minimum of 3-6 months in a managerial role and/or managerial training or the equivalent combination of experience and education
- Strong working knowledge of retail operations
- Ability to work independently
- Multi-task oriented and able to prioritize
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with customers and all levels within the company
- Strong people and interpersonal skills to handle diverse customer and associate relations concerns in a professional and constructive manner
- Ability to coach, lead, develop and motivate store associates
- Strong working knowledge of computers and software applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- Able to maintain a positive attitude
- High school graduate or equivalent GED, bachelor degree preferred
