Description
Our client is seeking an A-Player Prepress Technician with Graphic Design skills to provide exceptional color quality products to its customers. Highly qualified and motivated candidates will be considered who love their trade and want full responsibility for maintaining coloration technology for our client’s digital print production system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspection and preparation of all incoming digital files as well as ensuring that all of the essential elements are in place, reviewed and ready for transfer to production using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Quark Express and Enfocus Pitstop Pro;.
- Color correction and color management / profiling;
- Impose and RIP files to large format digital roll-to-roll and flatbed presses using RIP software such as Wasatch, ONYX and Caldera;
- Prepare Lenticular file using Power-Illusion and HumanEye;
- Trouble shooting and problem solving;
- Understanding and aptitude for minimizing spoilage at all steps from digital file review through production start-up and run;
- Accurate and on time production of customer orders;
- Work as a team player in rotating shifts;
- Superb attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to anticipate and avoid problems.
Requirements
Our client prides itself on delivering high quality digital print products fast so a sense of urgency is essential as well as willingness to put in the work hours required to get the job done right the first time. Team player who knows how to work with others. Must have a strong desire to take care of the customer
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a pre-press technician;
- Expert skills required in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Quark Express and Enfocus Pitstop Pro , Power-Illusion and HumanEyes a plus;
- RIP software such as Wasatch, ONYX and Caldera
- Training in problem solving methods a plus;
- Must be willing to undergo full color test;
- Willing to undergo diagnostics to assess skill level, aptitude and behavioral styles;
- Reference and Background checks required.
Compensation·
- $40,000 to $52,000 depending on experience and skill level.
