Description SOR, Inc., a Lenexa based manufacturer of instrumentation for the World-Wide Process industry, is seeking a GMAW/GTAW Welder/Fitter. Candidate should be skilled and experienced in all processes of welding including Tig Welding. Essential functions and responsibilities include:

Reads blue prints
Fits level units to blue print
Welds unit to ASME Weld code
Uses 6" and 4" Grinders
Machine ANSE flange finish
Sand blasting
Welds AIO6B, 316, 304, 335, A333, MONEL, Duplex material, GMAW, Spray, Pulsa, short circuit, and globber.
Use and understand test equipment.
Weld stainless steel and some specialty metals.
Weld and test parts for Sub-Assembly and Final Assembly.
Machine stems and tubing.
Responsible for inventory in area.
Preventive maintenance of equipment.
Tool & die when needed/weld fixture/jigs
Mig Weld
Adhere to guidelines and procedures proscribed by ISO 9001.
All other functions/responsibilties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED
6 – 12 months related experience and/or training

REQUIRED SKILLS

Welding & Mechanical skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Have the ability to read drawings and ISO procedures
Ability to communicate with Supervisor and Manager
Ability to communicate verbally and follow written and verbal instructions

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic Math: the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, and decimals.
