We are currently seeking a detail oriented individual who is a self-starter for the position of Director of Human Resources Development (HRD) to lead and senior manage the overall provision of HRD services, policies, and programs for the company.
The individual in this role will guide and oversee the human capital/human resource management for our multi-site company. This position will develop and execute a comprehensive HRD strategy, including talent acquisition, retention, and fundamental human resources (HR) programs and practices; plus, establishing learning and development processes throughout the company. Individual will lead a team of three employees in providing support ensuring that HRD policies, practices and programs are implemented successfully and in compliance with regulations. This position will also be involved in strategic and business planning for the company.
The HRD Director originates and leads practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes service excellence, quality, productivity, and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development or equivalent emphasis, and five plus years of progressive leadership experience in HR positions, are required. Having a MBA and PHR or SPHR certification are preferred.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations, safety, and training/development.
- Demonstrated record of accomplishments in leading people, developing strategic plans, managing projects, negotiating services/contract, and developing/implementing HR and training initiatives.
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation program and other HR programs.
- Solid understanding of performance measurement and experience in a metrics driven environment.
- Strong communication and coaching skills and ability to effectively present information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with using and managing a HRIS system including applicable reports and with various training delivery tools.
- Some nationwide travel (10-20%) and ability to manage employee relations, processes and programs at multiple locations is required.
