Unit Picking/Packing Supervisor

Job Description 

Unit picking/packing Supervisor position is detail oriented, extremely organized and can take initiative while maintaining operational excellence within the department.  This position requires the ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast paced environment.  Strong distribution background in a high volume, high growth shipping environment required. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Oversees daily picking orders for retail, wholesale and internet customer to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of order
  • Must be professional, resourceful, flexible, team oriented and have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have good computer skills & have knowledge of department procedures
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System is a plus
  • Experience using radio frequency
  • Continually inform Department manager of potential problems and changes
  • Ensure daily demand is met
  • Focus on quality assurance
  • Organize and maintain warehouse environment
  • Make recommendations on policies and procedures of the warehouse

§  Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

  • Previous experience utilizing Warehouse management shipping systems
  • Previous experience working with parcel carriers for loading
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Strong supervisory and managerial skills

 

 

Education/Experience

¨      High School Diploma; some college coursework a plus

¨      3 – 5 years experience

¨      Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

¨      Previous use of barcode applications, WMS systems

¨      Bi lingual
