This professional services organization is the leading expert and partner of choice for breakthrough intelligence, innovation and information that inspires financial services leaders to think and act differently to drive business results.  They are seeking a National Director to head this $12M Learning/Development practice based out of St. Louis.  Lead team of 30 people including sales and marketing, support and admin teams, focused on building this growth division.  This Director position offers an exciting opportunity to expand and enhance their go-to-market strategy and product offerings designed to educate and develop the banking/finance workforce within national Fortune 1000 organizations. 

   

Requirements

The National Director will be charged with creating a vision and managing the execution of strategic account development, prospecting, account management and client loyalty initiatives to drive revenue within this practice. 

 

This key leader will report to the COO, and be responsible for meeting corporate sales objectives:

 

  • o   Lead the development and execution of a multi-year growth plan that leverages an established core business in compliance training and opportunities to expand the learning and development business into a wider range of products and services that improve retail banking workforce performance.
  • o   Lead a talented 30-person team comprised of sales and product management professionals.
  • o   Achieve revenue and profit goals for this line of business.
  • o   Be the external “face" of BAI’s learning and development business throughout the financial services industry, developing relationships with customers and prospects, industry thought-leaders and learning technology and content providers.
  • o   Work cross-functionally with our Product Development and Content Development Leadership Teams to leverage BAI’s intellectual capital through the learning and development product line.

 

For this critical role we seek an experienced business-to-business sales and marketing leader with a proven track record of success.  The specific knowledge, skills and experience desired include:

 

  • ·    8+ years experience managing and motivating a high-performing, business-to-business sales force preferably in banking/finance, e-learning, training service or development services, technology, software, consulting, or professional services industries.
  • ·    5+ years demonstrated personal solution-selling success with Fortune 500 and leading global accounts.
  • ·    5+ years experience directing integrated sales and marketing strategy to generate qualified leads and fill the sales pipeline.
  • ·    Proven ability to successfully launch and sell new products or services.
  • ·    Working knowledge of CRM systems, sales and marketing collaboration platforms and online customer care best practices.
  • ·    Highly effective communicator, written and oral, who works well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • ·    Passion for learning and development business; entrepreneurial spirit
  • ·    Retail banking or Financial services industry knowledge and selling experience is a big plus.
  • ·    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.  MBA preferred.
