Part Time
SPMHC, a HFAP accredited hospital located 25 miles northwest of Madison is seeking a individual to work part time (20 hours per week) to administer a comprehensive Infection Control Program consisting of infection prevention, control and surveillance, education/consultation of staff, compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies, committee involvement and policy and procedure review.
Requirements
Bachelors of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience and registration as a MT, MLT or RN licensure required. Successful completion of an infection control course and Certification in Infection Control(CIC) is desired. Valid certification in BLS required within six months of appointment. Strong organizational skills, solid knowledge base in the principles of microbiology and clinical patient care, familiarity with computer applications and databases, excellent communication skills, and strong data analysis strongly desired.
