Job Description: Research Associate Scientist:

A position is currently open for a dedicated and enthusiastic scientist interested in contributing to research in a growing company. The position involves becoming part of a research team to demonstrate proof of concept along with some development and implementation of diagnostic assays designed to aid in the rapid diagnosis of infectious diseases. The candidate will be involved in immunodiagnostics research demonstrating feasibility for new diagnostic assays, exploring new platforms for decentralized markets and aiding in implementing new formats for future assays as well as present platforms within the company.

The incumbent will be involved in interfacing with other scientists in research, development and production. Communication, cooperation and documentation skills are essential. The ability to work within defined timelines is a must.

Requirements Job Requirements for Research Associate Scientist:

Minimum requirements: BS/MS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or related sciences with 3-5 years of experience in basic R&D or diagnostics.

Preferred Skills include: Protein chemistry including purification, characterization and associated analytical techniques such as conjugation chemistries, HPLC chromatography and immunoassay development. Strong data analysis skills are essential along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within research and on project developmental teams is required. Knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office products as well as graphing and statistical analysis software is preferred.
