Description

1.     Determines which key accounts offer the most potential for sales increase.

 

2.     Determines where the buying influences are.

 

3.     Establishes account coverage at the identified accounts.

 

4.     Coordinates routine and effective sales calls on the identified buying influences.

 

5.     Coordinates all product field trials and product demonstrations with the customer.

 

6.     Assists with activities at trade shows including lead retrieval and follow up.

 

7.     Resolves all customer complaints regarding products or services.

 

8.     Assists finance department by contacting delinquent customer accounts when required.

 

9.     Coordinates effective working relationship with Distributor sales personnel.

 

10.  Assists with identifying and investigating new product opportunities with customers.

 

11.  Cooperates with Product Management and R&E as required to investigate market or product issues with customers.

 

12.  Effectively monitors travel and entertainment expenses and product samples.

 

13.  Provides a sales forecast at least annually, perhaps more often. 

 

14.  Communicates through timely trip reports or territory updates as required.

 

15.  Works to understand the markets to which DPW Solar sells and promotes its products and how DPW Solar products are used by its customers.

 

16.  Travels and works with other sales personnel to learn more about how DPW Solar promotes and sells its products.

Requirements

 

            EDUCATION

 

            High school diploma or equivalent.   Sales courses or college degree desired.

 

            EXPERIENCE

 

3 to 5 years of previous successful field sales experience, PV solar installation experience, and/or engineering related experience preferably in the PV solar industry.

 

            SKILLS

 

Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written situations involving internal personnel, manufacturing reps and customers and possesses a diplomatic approach to problem solving. 

 

            Must possess mechanical aptitude and ability to perform strenuous work as required to demonstrate solar mounting hardware product installations.

 

            OTHER

 

            Ability to travel a minimum of 75% of the time.

 

            Must posses a valid driver's license.

 

            Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
