Job Description:
- The Spotter driver must be able to back trailers into the door as assigned. Trailers range from 28 ft. pup trailers to 53 ft trailers.
- Will be required to pull trailers out as assigned and keep an accurate log of what door the trailer was put into or pulled out of and that trailers location, (front trailer yard or back trailer yard)
- Need to be able to work well with minimum supervision and be responsible for the work assigned to them.
- Must follow the safety guidelines set forth by select as well as EXEL.
To be considered for this position, you must pass the requirements for a spotter position set forth by Select Truckers Plus:
- Current and valid driver's license to match the vehicle driven
- Current copy of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Pass a pre-employment drug test in accordance with FMCSR regulations
- Be enrolled in Select Truckers Plus' Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program
- A level of recent, verifiable commercial driving experience based on license type within the last 6 months.
- Class A and B-CDL drivers must have a minimum of 1 year
- Non-CDL Drivers must have a minimum of 6 months for vehicles in excess of 10,000 GVW
- Minimum age for CDL drivers is 23 years old; minimum for Non-CDL drivers is 21 years old
- All CDL drivers must have a current DOT physical Documented and verified driver qualification file
Shift: afternoon shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Must be flexible to work later when required.
Pay rate starts at $9.50 per hour.
