Description The West Chester Medical Center has a PRN Utilization Review Nurse position available in the Utilization Review Quality department. This position performs pre-admission, admission, concurrent and retrospective review on selected cases. This RN also performs quality monitoring, supports other performance improvement activities and confers with Risk Management, Nursing, Infection Control and physicians to address quality and patient safety concerns. The Utilization Review Quality Nurse confers with Social Work, Revenue Management team members, Peer Review Organizations (PRO) and other managed care review agencies to assure certification of the patient’s entire stay so that the hospital receives maximum reimbursement.

Requirements Current Registered Nurse license from an accredited college or university required. Certification in Case Management or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) encouraged. At least two years medical-surgical patient care experience. Additional utilization management, quality management or case management experience preferred.
