Location: Central Arizona

2 Hospitals: 203 and 262 beds

This acclaimed health system includes two hospitals, physician practices, community outreach programs and the Health Foundation. Job Description: 

The Director Network Clinical Education is responsible for overseeing an education program that assists clinical managers and clinicians to provide competent, high quality patient care. The Director supervises and leads the clinical educators for the Network in developing and delivering education offerings which meet identified needs of the clinical staff, provide flexibility to support different learning styles and schedules, and support competency at the bedside.  Departments served are clinical departments, e.g. Nursing units, Respiratory Therapy, Surgery, Laboratory, and Pharmacy. 

· Creates partnerships with clinical managers, Quality Management, and Organization & Staff Development to integrate education into the overall plans for patient care, achievement of quality goals, and development of staff skills and professional growth. 

·  Leads educators in the development of standards for content and consistency between and within facilities.

· Fosters professional development among the clinical educators.  

· Keeps abreast of developments and innovations in education. 

· Deploys clinical education resources as needed.

· Oversees the planning, coordination, and development of educational programs to meet the needs of the clinical staff.

· Collaborates with clinical management and Organization & Staff Development and others to develop an annual plan for education.

· Provides for consistency and standardization in educational approach throughout the Network.

· Ensures competency of educators.

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Master's degree in Education, Organizational Development or related field.

· 7-10 years experience in education or hospital staff development

· Verified current Arizona or other compact state RN license

·  Management experience in a hospital setting is preferred. 

· Frequent travel required between hospitals.
