Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Receive & Stock Worker is responsible for receiving, put away and complete accuracy of all incoming shipments at the branch location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The main responsibilities of the Receiver are:

• Scheduling inbound shipments.
• Identifying over, short or damaged product on inbounds.
• Understanding purchase orders and vendor paperwork.
• Knowledge of NDC #’s, hard to receive items, special category and specific items such as Abbott kits.
• Watching unit of measure, expiration dates and lot numbers.
• Comprehending basic warehouse layout of bins and items, including overstock and secondary bin locations.
• Stocking, putting away, and product rotation (FIFO).
• Checking and verifying inventory quantities in system.
• Interacting with Inventory Control Specialist daily to ensure accurate inventory.
• Maintaining the suspect area (of non-stock receiving items).
• Initiating the RDN process (Receiving Discrepancies).
• Forklift certification and equipment maintenance.
• Segregating and understanding of HazMat and the associated regulations.
• Maintaining cleanliness of dock and receiving area.
• Observing Safety regulations, understands OSHA requirements, proper manual lifting techniques.
• Completing receiving duties daily.
• Must maintain a good attendance record.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintaining the security of the receiving dock.
• Identifying variables or exceptions to normal processing.
• Taking appropriate resolution of problems.
• Any other job related tasks as assigned.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical warehouse environment. The employee is required to perform varied and repetitive warehouse tasks including operation of forklift, hand truck and manual lifting of boxes between 50 – 100 pounds.

Job Requirements
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

The Receive & Stock Worker preferably will have one year of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse atmosphere, including receiving, picking orders and shipping with a history of teamwork and motivation. Minimum education requirement is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or commensurate experience.

PREFERRED OFFICE/MACHINE EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE:

Understands basic computer systems for data entry and inquiry.

SHIFT:

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm. Overtim as needed.
