known for specialties including cardiovascular services, women�s and children�s
health, oncology and is at the forefront of minimally-invasive robotics
technology for cardiac, gynecologic and urologic procedures.
POSITION SUMMARY

The AOU is a 40 bed Tele Unit within Little Company of Mary. This unit
specializing in post cardiac procedure care including Pre and Post Open Heart
Care. AOU is a step down unit for the Intensive Care Unit and is known for it�s
advance nursing care and has the reputation for quality and compassionate care.

The successful candidate will demonstrates clinical competency in the care of
adult medical, surgical, telemetry, and diabetes patients. Performs and/or
oversees cardiac monitoring. .Recognizes and treats, per hospital policy, life
threatening dysrythmias and their accompanying symptoms. The nurse will also
Provide post-operative care for the following patient types: cardiac
catheterization. The nurse will also assist physicians with and provides nursing
care for patient requiring chest tube insertion or removal, cardioversion,
thoracentisis, central line placement, lumbar puncture, bronchoscopy, bone
marrow aspiration and all other procedures appropriate to the Medical Cardiology
Unit scope of care.
