TRANSPORTATION MANAGER

Suburban Philadelphia

Due to increasing expansion and growth, a large national public transportation company is seeking a Transportation Manager for its suburban Philadelphia terminal. 

You will be responsible for operational oversight of this facility. This includes: management of fleet and facilities; day-to-day management of operations (i.e. payroll, AR, billing, scheduling); P & L and financial performance; development of positive customer relationships and interface; supervision of exempt and non-exempt staff and drivers; compliance with state and federal regulations and company safety policies; recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluation and coaching of employees; and administration of the labor contract.

• 4 year degree or a minimum of five years transportation experience;
• Prior management background in a transportation industry;
• A proven track record with financial management and P & L responsibility;
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills;
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Good Microsoft Excel knowledge. 
• Previous management experience in a union environment is preferred.
