Overview

  • Full time
  • Work Hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Manages multiple products flowing into multiple market segments to meet the needs of targeted businesses across the enterprise. Determines market strategies and manages the marketing programs for those products.

  • Develops and executes long range and competitive strategy for the product(s) and systems.
  • Prepares annual marketing plan and sales forecasts.
  • Develop positioning, copy, and programs.
  • Stimulate support of the product among the sales group and distributor network.
  • Support all market segment needs with category management.
  • Gather continuous intelligence on products' performance, competition, distributor and end user attitudes, new problems and opportunities.
  • Initiating Product improvements and changes to meeting changing market needs.
  • Develops and recommends marketing objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts for assigned product or products.
  • Analyzes market trends and potentials; prepares sales forecasts for use in planning manufacturing operations and for controlling inventories.
  • Develops methods for field testing manufacturing programs to determine public acceptance; evaluates the effectiveness of promotional and advertising programs; recommends improvements or changes.
  • Reviews complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product(s).
  • Recommends changes, improvements, or deletions to assigned product(s).
  • Directs market development, sales promotion, distribution, and pricing policies.
  • Participates in the preparation of advertising for assigned products and may oversee market research activities. Develops and suggests ideas for new products, as appropriate.
Requirements

Education and Experience Required

BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business or related fields. MBA preferred.
Product Management / Marketing experience is required for this job with five (5) to Eight (8) years business experience preferably in marketing environment.  Multiple market segment and commercial distribution experience a plus. Basic computer/software skills.

  • Administration and Management--Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
