JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide daily oversight of the development of client’s subsidiary accounting system by third party vendor for a toll customer service center application.
Assist in the planning and oversight of accounting and financial systems and processes, including interfaces to client’s current accounting system.
Drive project on behalf of client staff from planning, design, testing and development through installation, integration and startup and operations.
Manage schedule for financial and accounting system development, integration, testing and deployment.
Establish and maintain effective written and verbal communications with client staff and the vendor to ensure project success including the conduct of weekly coordination meetings and production of weekly and monthly progress reports.
Review and recommend approval of Vendor submittals including toll system documentation including progress reports, and invoices for contract compliance and usability

 

Requires co-location with client in the client's downtown Seattle project office and adoption of client work hours schedule; must be able to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Accounting and licensed Certified Public Accountant, MBA is preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years of financial and accounting experience, with at least three (3) years experience in a management or leadership position overseeing accounting operations in a high volume transaction processing and/or customer invoicing environment .
Experience with the preparation of financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience performing accounting functions for a public sector/governmental organization or public accounting experience performing audit or other accounting services for a governmental agency preferred.
Direct experience with systems development and/or implementation.
Proven leader with the ability to represent the client and their best interests.
Able to demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage vendors and their subcontractors
