Job Description

The Corporate Finance Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Treasury department, assisting with the analysis and management of the capital structure of the Corporation. The analyst will work with members of the Treasury department, other corporate and business unit finance teams as well as partners in various other areas of the Corporation.

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Skills

• Strong finance and accounting skills
• Financial services experience
• Highly analytical and conceptual thinker
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex matters to multiple constituencies
• Familiarity with Basel II and risk management topics
• Comfortable in dealing with ambiguous topics
• Strong financial modeling skills and knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Experienced in driving process change

 

Major Duties

• Developing a holding company capital structure that supports the risk profile of the Corporation, maintains the Corporation’s credit ratings, has sufficient liquidity, and provides flexibility to take advantage of market opportunities
• Formulating and executing the Corporation’s dividend and stock buy back strategies
• Analyzing capital transfer requests across legal entities
• Evaluating returns on equity across legal entities and their implications on capital adequacy and growth opportunities
• Preparing the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for meetings with investment banks and rating agencies
• Supporting the Corporation’s Basel II ICAAP efforts

  

Experience

Thorough business knowledge likely to be gained through 7+ years relevant experience, including some consultancy experience, or several years¿ experience with related four year degree.
