Part time Days/Evenings Math Instructor
Subject: College Math
Wright Career College is seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual to teach our general education College Math course.
Master's Degree required and 18 credits at either undergraduate or graduate level in Mathematic discipline
Experience teaching preferred
Job Goal:
To provide and sustain an effective learning environment for every student through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, and support of academic success of at-risk students
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Provide all necessary documentation for students
Participate in student success meetings
Participate in professional development activities
Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons
Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, and timeliness as detailed in the syllabus
Identify and refer at-risk students to academic dean
Work with each student through their learning process
Provide interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real life setting
Provide fair assessments of all assignments
Treat each student with value and respect
Provide clear and timely report on all students on graded coursework
Assist in new student orientation
Complete, sign, and maintain annual Individual Faculty Development plan
Attend regularly scheduled in-services and professional development activities
Adhere to and publicly support school policies and procedures
Attend graduation ceremonies
Special projects as assigned by campus Director.
Other duties as required.
Meet expectations and provide annual documentation in the following areas: teaching/professional development/ student success
Demonstrate current instructional content knowledge
Provide flexible course delivery options for students when possible.
Achieve satisfactory student evaluation scores
Demonstrate organization and planning in all areas of professional practice
Develop and use strong communication skills
Show initiative/dependability/reliability
Demonstrates the clear responsibility to participate in administering and implementing policy, especially as it pertains to academic affairs
