Cumberland Therapy Services is a growing provider of healthcare staffing services to school districts, charter schools, private schools for children with special needs and other special needs institutions nationwide. We are actively searching for a career-oriented self-starter ready for a performance-based opportunity as a Therapist Recruiter in our busy Chicago office, located in the vibrant North Lakeview neighborhood.  

As Recruiter, you’ll lead the way expanding our business as you source, screen and interview candidates for Special Education therapy positions in school districts nationwide. You'll play an essential role as the first face of Cumberland for our most valuable asset, our  therapist candidates and prospective employees.

Working primarily by phone, you will proactively recruit therapists nationwide, and present  the most qualified candidates to our Account Exective team for presentation to our clients. This is a high volume phone position, with successful recruiters making more than 100 phone calls a day.

In this growth-oriented position you will:

• Present our services to therapists interested in working in school settings, and proactively work to place each qualified therapist into a Cumberland position that meets her needs and career aspirations. 
• Build strong , open relationships with candidates, current employees, university faculty and industry contacts. 
• Assess  candidates' qualifications, abilities, career aspirations and employment needs. and effectively communicate those details to the Account Executive team.
• Negotiate salaries within company guidelines, meeting or exceeding margin and revenue goals by making sound, independent business decisions.
• Manage  employee relationships for the duration of the employee's tenure with Cumberland, often 5-10 years or more: anticipating, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring both retention of the employee and his success and satisfaction on assignment.
• Build strong local (virtual) networks in your assigned territory, and enbrace full responsibility and accountability for Cumberland's relationships with the therapist community, professional organizations, universities and influential industry contacts within that territory
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, employees and candidates.
• Share best practices with colleagues as you contribute to the growth and development of the company.
• Play a key role in the continued growth of a successful, people-focused small company.
