Description

Local manufacturer is seeking a Bi-lingual Plant Manager for their Cartersville, GA. facility.  The candidate must have manufacturing experience, heavy industrial manufacturing preferred. Duties include directing the production team to meet customer needs and achieve bottom line results related to quality of product, productivity, proper fulfillment of customer orders, inventory control, cost controls, work flow efficiencies, equipment efficiencies, and safety.  This individual is responsible for overseeing the entire production facility and managing supervisors, lead employees, and approximately 20-30 non-skilled production labor employees and must align the production team to achieve production performance standards.  This hands-on position will report to the Operations Manager with dotted line responsibility to the President and CEO.  The Company offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and benefits package including medical, dental, profit sharing and 401(k). Requirements Responsibilities: 
  • Provide leadership and direction to the plant.
  • Maintain product quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations. 
  • Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
  • Review day-to-day operations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and lead cost and efficiency improvement efforts.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and quality objectives are met.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the manufacturing process to support high quality, cost effective products.
  • Work closely with suppliers to stay current with state-of-the-art processes; present new technology ideas to the Management team and when practical, implement new equipment or improve manufacturing processes.
  • Interface with Operations to provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed.  
  • Develop ideas to improve overall plant performance using sound engineering sciences. 
  • Analyze data for ongoing operations to provide direction on upgrades to improve quality and cost.
  • Oversee housekeeping and maintenance of building and surrounding grounds.
  • Maintain a plant that meets federal, state, local, and corporate safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Create a positive team oriented environment through employee development and engagement.
  • Effectively communicate plans, goals, performance expectations, results, and the company’s values.

 

Requirements: 

          • Must be fluently bilingual (English and Spanish).

          • Demonstrated experience in managing manufacturing operations. 

          • Proven ability to work under pressure in a changing environment. 

          • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

          • Quick problem solving ability.

          • Above average organizational skills and the ability to prioritize functions in order to meet due dates and deadlines.

          • Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and vendors.

          • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.

          • Demonstrates ability and flexibility to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment.
