Within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse (R.N.), as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, the R.N. will: Demonstrate effective critical thinking; assess patients holistically; plan care in collaboration with others; interpret patient data; administer medications safety; operate patient care and other equipment efficiently and safely; perform patient treatments; effectively teach patients and their significant others/caregivers; evaluate patient’s response to care/revise plan of care; communicate and function effectively with all members of patient care team; complete concise, legible documentation that reflects the nursing process; adhere to safety policies/procedures; maintain confidentiality; observe patient rights; assure all care and communication is respectful and age/culture/spiritually appropriate.

Acute hospital nursing experience preferred.
