Job Title: Manufacturing Planner / Estimator
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Duration: Temp to Hire


The Planner is responsible for releasing detailed work instructions for production through translation of all pertinent technical data which includes customer purchase order, drawings, specifications and other related information. Must be experienced with aerospace product drawings and specifications. Must ensure that new part production is well planned and on schedule. Will also be responsible to work up sales quotations based upon customers work statement.

Requirements

• Able to quickly analyze engineering drawings, datasets, specifications, and other configuration control media to determine the correct manufacturing requirements.
• Must be very familiar with aerospace raw material specifications and types, finish/treatment and processes, and manufacturing/assembly best practices.
• Professionally communicate with customer and supplier representatives to obtain manufacturing data, resolving problems, and negotiating configuration changes (to aid manufacturing).
• Loading new part data into MRP system (Made2Manage): PARTS ROUTING, BOM.
• Coordinates change incorporation and maintains program status.
• Researches all information that may be required to complete the quotation.
• Obtains competitive pricing for materials and components needed for the quotation.
• Meets with members of the Estimating Team, as required, to review piece price options and to establish tool pricing and timing.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong teaming skills.
• Must respond well to fast paced, changing work assignments.
• Must be able to work independently with demonstrated knowledge in manufacturing best practices.


Experience
• Tube fabrication and job shop experience highly desired.
• Experience in costing and using best manufacturing practices.
• CAD experience. desired
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
