Job Description

Overview:

  

This newly created position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned technology-oriented marketing professional to lead our firm-wide CRM rollout and to oversee other technology-related marketing efforts.  The Marketing Technology Manager reports to the Director of Marketing Strategy and will play a critical role in providing tools to support the firm’s marketing and business development goals.  CRM rollout experience in a professional service or consulting firm is required; law firm experience is preferred.

  

Responsibilities:

 1.  Lead firm-wide rollout of CRM system.  Work collaboratively with IS, Marketing, and vendors to plan and execute a carefully phased implementation.  Core deliverables:

 

         

        • Work with vendors and key stakeholders to negotiate and finalize scope of work and overall contract.
        • Assess current marketing database to determine transition plan for existing lists.
        • Lead CRM implementation team, working closely with the IS Project Manager, vendors, and other administrators to develop and deliver on key milestones.
        • Develop rapport, incentives and communication to ensure attorney/assistant participation. 
        • Work with vendors to create and implement high quality CRM training programs for marketing staff, attorneys and administrative assistants.
        • Develop and implement plans to monitor and improve the integrity of CRM data.
        • Oversee planning and execution of all marketing mailings, and act as point person in responding to marketing staff / attorney inquiries and requests for reports.
        • Recruit, train and oversee team of 2-3 data stewards/e-marketing coordinators.

      • Create documentation to support training and communication plans

        

      2.  Oversee other e-marketing efforts for the firm.  Core deliverables:

      • Act as lead contact with ERM and e-marketing vendors to negotiate cost-effective agreements, ensure high quality service delivery and product improvements.
      • Oversee efficient usage of existing tools, providing training/guidance to data stewards and other marketing users, as appropriate.
      • Identify and successfully implement new technology-based tools to enhance business development and marketing efforts.

        

        




      Job Requirements

      • Experience leading a professional service firm CRM rollout and overseeing data stewards / e-marketing coordinators.
      • Strong verbal and communications skills.  Ability to develop strong relationships and interact effectively with marketing staff, senior management, attorneys, office administrators, and legal assistants.
      • Excellent project management skills. 
      • Ability to translate big picture ideas and issues into actions and solutions
      • A fine eye for the detail management that is so critical to CRM success.
      • Working knowledge of other technology-based e-marketing tools, including ERM systems and web content management.
      • Capacity to travel to other offices in connection with training/rollout effort.
      • A focus on learning, education and networking with other professionals to develop best practices that can be implemented to enhance the firm’s success
