The selected Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for providing the leadership to manage a company-wide accounting function and maintain a complete financial reporting service for both domestic and international activities. The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for managing an accounting team (staff of 5) as well as manage completion of the month-end and year end close; review monthly journal entries prepared by the staff and senior accountants; manage timely and accurate preparation of monthly analysis and analysis of all balance sheet accounts; maintain the general ledger chart of accounts; review quarter-end/year end audit work papers, prepare reports/schedules and analysis for Controller and CFO as well as BOD, as well as work on several key strategic projects.
Requirements
· Candidates should have at least 5 years of hands-on work experience including experience in a medium to large size business. Public accounting and/or CPA preferred.
· BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required
· Experience in a corporate accounting setting with 2+ years of staff management and coordination is required.
· Strong General Accounting skills and GAAP knowledge with experience in month end close through to financial statement preparation.
· Proficiency in all MS Office applications, and advanced knowledge of Excel and a major ERP system such as SAP or Oracle required.
· Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under quarter close deadlines.
· Candidates must have excellent communication skills (oral and written), the ability to interact with all levels of management through the organization and the initiative to get the job done.
· Must be a dedicated, team player looking to succeed and grow with the company and Accounting department.
· Must be a self-starter requiring little supervision or direction and at the same time be able to provide supervision and direction to one's staff.
· MBA is a plus, but not required.
