Description

Automotive Service Technician

As with all positions within dealerships, service technicians are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

Job duties include:

Diagnoses and repairs to specifications for automatic and manual transmissions and diesel, brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.

Requirements

Two years of experience in a dealership position and general knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations is recommended for service Technicians. Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is preferred.

Previous Mechanical experience preferred.

Valid drivers license required.
ASE certifications is a plus.
Own Tools
Ability to work as a team member.
