Description
 BASIC FUNCTION

Responsible for income tax compliance for several Emerson Process Management entities.  Compliance responsibilities will include both Federal and State, with some involvement in the U.S. compliance of international subsidiaries possible.

 

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare fiscal year federal income tax packages for inclusion in Emerson consolidated return.
  • Prepare various multi-state income tax returns and miscellaneous tax filings.
  • Perform miscellaneous research and planning projects.
  • Assist in year-end FAS109 provision calculations for domestic and foreign subsidiaries.
  • Preparation of quarterly estimated tax calculations and payments to the various taxing jurisdictions.
  • Review and maintenance of tax fixed asset reporting for various domestic subsidiaries.
Requirements

EDUCATON

Position requires a B.S. degree in Accounting and 1-4 years of general tax experience. CPA preferred.

 

EXPERIENE / SKILLS:                

Strong PC skills necessary, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word. CCH online research and Insource experience a plus. Interpersonal and communication skills a must to interact professionally with all levels of management, domestically and internationally. Must be self-starter and able to work independently while handling multiple tasks.
