Continuous Improvement Manager

Progress Rail Services Corporation, a Caterpillar Company and a leading provider of services to the Railroad industry in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, seeks a Continuous Improvement Manager for our Locomotive Railcar Services Division. This position is located at our Corporate office in Albertville, AL.

• Lead projects to deliver significant operational performance improvements and process controls
• Facilitate intoduction on new technology where appropriate
• Track continuous improvement status, cost savings, training, certification and events by project in support of business unit goals
• Travel to various company locations to conduct continuous improvement evaluations and followup

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Management
• Minimum 5 years experience in an operations environment as a Continuous Improvement Manager in railcar, locomotive and component reconditioning or heavy manufacturing industry
• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with a proven track record in manufacturing environment
• Thorough knowledge of AAR/FRA regulations
• Must be able to travel 30%
• Engaging personality, excellent communications and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Mini-tab, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and MicroSoft Project
• Strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills
