The Opportunity - Interim Director of Human Resources (Hospital-Based)

The Interim Director of Human Resources plans, organizes and directs all aspects of Human Resources Management in such a manner as to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees, compliance with all company policies and legal aspects of employee/employer relationships. In addition, the Director of Human Resources is responsible to help create an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals; conveying the hospital mission to all staff; holding staff accountable for staffing standards ; motivating staff to improve performance; and being responsible for the operation of the department; measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the department's performance. Location of this position to be determined.

Scope of the Position - Interim Director of Human Resources (Hospital-Based)

 

  • Oversees all facets of the daily operations of the Human Resources Department to include employment, recruitment and retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborates with all parties to develop and implement HR strategies and programs aimed at enhancing the positive culture and work environment for employees, volunteers, and physicians.
  • Monitors Employee Health activities and Workers' Compensation management
  • Assists with Benefits Administration
  • Ensures appropriate documentation and record-keeping for regulatory compliance.

Requirements of Interim Director of Human Resources (Hospital-Based)

 

  • Bachelors degree in HR or related field and 5-10 years of progressive generalist and supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Experience with Employment Law required and Labor Law preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of positively impacting the work environment.
