Description
As the Staff Accountant, this person will work directly with the Controller on the day-to-day accounting functions including, but not limited to:
Reconciling monthly bank statements
Accurately processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Preparing journal entries
Performing account analysis and reconciliations
Completing month end close process
Involved with the company's financials for several subsidiaries
Researching and correcting account discrepancies
Preparing Sales/Use tax returns
Providing assistance with year-end audit process
Cross-training in all Business Office/Finance functions

Requirements
Bachelors degree with emphasis in accounting and minimum of 2-4 years of recent accounting experience; or equivilent work experience
Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbally in a customer service driven environment
Superior analytical skills and problem solving skills
Must be highly organized and ability to multitask
Ability to produce accurate, high quantity of work within tight deadlines
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Construction accounting cxperience including job costing, AIA billing, & Work In Process
Proficient in Excel
Timberline experience is a plus
