Description

The responsibilities for this position include developing innovative mechanical design solutions for Enterprise server computer systems. Support all mechanically related design activities including cross-functional or ODM interaction necessary to deliver products into production. The ability to use Pro Engineer, CFD and FEA analysis tools to create mechanical designs for volume mass production is required.

 

·         Additional responsibilities include ensuring product features achieve cost, schedule, budget, reliability, thermal, acoustic, reliability, electrical, power, firmware, BIOS, and regulatory/safety goals.

Requirements

·         BS in Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of relevant industry experience.

·         Must possess a high level of expertise and familiarity with associated technologies, vendor products, and competitor's offerings with a solid understanding of system board layout and processor and memory technology roadmaps.

·         Ability to analyze options for critical design elements and features and determines optimum selection.

·         Data Center thermal engineering experience is a plus.

·         Excellent communication skills presenting and influencing strategy to all levels

·         Collaborate with Marketing and cross functional engineering disciplines to incorporate architectural and feature definitions

·         Drive strategic direction and initiatives related to product design and/or technology adoption/integration

·         Create and drive solution-level implementation
