Since our founding in 1965, Daniel Webster College (“DWC") has established itself as an innovative center of higher learning. DWC maintains an active enrollment of approximately 1,000 students in varying Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in the following schools: Arts and Sciences; Aviation Sciences; Business,  Management and Professional Studies; Engineering and Computer Sciences.  Our programs employ traditional, applied and adult-learning teaching styles and are delivered through traditional, accelerated and distance methodologies in a learner-centered environment of mutual respect.

The Opportunity


The Director of Campus Safety is responsible for ensuring the on campus safety of students, faculty, staff and guests.



Key Responsibilities


  • Manage patrol, crime prevention and crime statistic reporting.
  • Recruit, train and manages staff of safety officers.
  • Develops and recommends safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct campus investigations of criminal activity and related situations.
  • Works in partnership with local law enforcement and emergency agencies as required.
  • Advise President of DWC of campus wide strategies to be implemented to prevent crime and enhance the safety and security of the institution.
  • Ability to work nights, evenings, weekends and holidays are necessary.
  • Responsible for campus auto parking and traffic management.
 


Job Requirements 


 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related area from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education required.
  • Six years experience in security, law enforcement, or related area.
  • First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Emergency management certification preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse student base. 
  • Valid driver’s license a must.
