TEAM Enterprises is an event and promotional marketing company who is looking for an Activation Manager (AM) in Louisville, KY. The AM is specifically accountable for the overall results in their assigned territory for sales volume, distribution, promotion execution, and key retail and client relationships. People Development Skills:
  • Recruit, hire and train quality promotional staff who are knowledgeable about the clients products and portfolio
  • Recruit, hire and train effective team leaders when required to implement multiple brand promotions during key holiday periods, and for short and long term special events
  • Train promotional staff to implement experiential promotions and speak to the consumer about brand attributes
  • Provide regular feedback and clear direction on all expectations and tasks to promotional staff to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve execution
  • Motivate promotional staff to maintain a good attitude and leave a positive impression on consumers
  • Provide strong leadership skills to develop personnel and continuously educate them on the importance of execution activities
  • Ensure promotional staff meets all clients objectives
  • Deal with any performance issues in a timely manner within TEAM policies and procedures, acting with a sense of urgency
Client Relationship Responsibilities:
  • Be the local point of contact for client personnel
  • Ensure TEAM Enterprises objectives align with local client objectives
  • Manage conflicting demand requirements between the local and national client, and TEAM
  • Maintain regular contact and communication between client field personnel and TEAM Enterprises
  • Meet with client regularly to keep up to date on product and industry knowledge
  • Gather and report all competitive activity to client and TEAM Management
  • Always sell TEAMs values to the client and uncover additional opportunities for TEAM to serve the client
  • Ensure clear and open lines of communication; track, measure and communicate all progress on National and local events to ensure clients goals are met and exceeded
  • Work with sales representative in the field a minimum of once per week to assist them in selling the clients brands and programs to targeted accounts
  • Attend monthly sales meetings at the distributor and any other special meeting requests
  • Work with distributor personnel to identify key industry driver accounts and key traffic periods in the accounts
Field Execution Responsibilities:
  • Knowledgeable of all client brands required
  • Consistently achieve and exceed assigned promotion events and consumer interactions both on and off-premise
  • Utilize strong selling skills to increase distribution and brand visibility in assigned accounts
  • Merchandise all new placements with POS and regularly conduct wait staff training
  • Utilize strong selling skills to sell in event promotions to retail on key nights to maximize brand visibility, sales opportunities, and product features
  • Ensure promotional staff conduct promotions to TEAMs quality standards
  • Execute all local market area special event requests
  • Work with promotional staff at all events
  • Recap all promotions and evaluate the effectiveness
  • Complete a pre-plan before calling on accounts and a daily call activity report for all account calls
  • Develop a monthly promotion plan schedule to ensure all accounts are visited with the proper frequency
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with 60 to 80 targeted accounts
  • Call on all targeted accounts a minimum of twice per month
  • Provide local marketing promotional calendar to all appropriate client personnel on a weekly basis
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Complete all administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain proper records for all expense reports and ensure they are completed on time with all receipts attached
  • Maintain electronic tracking of promo staff and events scheduled and completed on a daily basis
  • Maintain promotional staff files with proper signed paperwork to include W-9, Contractor Agreement and a copy of a valid drivers license
  • Ensure that no promotional contractors work for TEAM prior to all paperwork being completed and sent to corporate
  • Responsibly manage all assigned company and client equipment and assets to protect from damage and theft, as well as provide proper packaging and shipping guidelines
  • Manage all informational requests and recap key takeaways to TEAM Management
Requirements Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from accredited institution preferred
  • Experience conducting promotions in key targeted accounts, in selling programs or brands to key accounts, and/or prior promotional and selling experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability
  • Ability to multitask
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving, and motivational skills
  • Ability to gather information and insightfully analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations for solutions
  • Own the gathering, classification, and the integrity of data gathered in assigned market
  • Quality computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with the market and key accounts catering to the targeted consumers
  • Requires work typically from Tuesday to Saturday with day time sales calls, attendance at client meetings, promotional activity targeted on late nights.
  • Upon first day of work employee must be residing in their assigned market area, or, within a reasonable distance from their territory. Reasonable distance is to be determined on a case by case basis and is subject to TEAM Enterprises discretion based on business needs.
