Demand Planning Manager

Description Strategic Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Demand Forecasting Systems Team is responsible for providing demand forecasting systems and models that significantly enhance supply chain decision making. Types of demand forecasting models include models for basic Items, new items, one-time items, seasonal items and promotional Items along with related cannibalization forecasting.

This individual:
-Works with the Supply Chain Organization to assure appropriate understanding of demand forecast values as well as cataloging needed enhancements to the demand forecasting systems.
-Participates in the building and implementation of new Churchill Systems supply chain forecasting models.
-Monitors existing supply chain demand forecasting systems output for appropriate values, format and accuracy rates and works to eliminate the identified challenges.
-And, while Supply Chain forecasting is a primary responsibility, this person also works with related organizations to provide forecasting support as needed.

Requirements Bachelor's degree with a major in Statistics, Economics or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years retail forecasting experience. Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Tactical Responsibilities:
-Manages a team of Supply Chain Demand Forecasting Analysts.
-Performs as the Senior Supply Chain demand forecast analyst and model builder.
-Understands forecast output details as well as the specific impact on “downstream” supply chain applications that utilize these forecasts.
-Understands how and in what format “upstream applications” will provide forecasting model input data. -Generates the Churchill Systems demand forecasting models required to support various retail planning systems.

Required Skills:
-Basic understanding of Retail Supply Chain Systems.
-Basic understanding of Business Statistics.
-Ability to manipulate and analyze data with Excel and basic SQL.
-Ability to communicate with Business Users and IT Personnel.
-Hands-on management skills.
