HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR

Job Description 

CMS currently has an opening for a Health Services Administrator at Hagerstown Correctional Inst. in Hagerstown, MD

The Administrator will work closely with CMS staff to ensure delivery of a quality health care program.  This individual will be responsible for personnel selection/retention, financial reporting, positive relations with the client and coordinating care with internal and external resources.  Represents CMS with the institution.


 

This facility houses 7,000 male pre-release inmates in three medium and one minimum security building. All four buildings are located on the same property. HSA would be responsible for oversight of 83.6 FTEs which includes four physicians, and 5.5 mid-levels. The site includes 10 infirmary beds, 2 special care rooms, and 5 isolation rooms.

Job Requirements 

- BSN or Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.

- Previous Correctional healthcare experience strongly preferred.

- Minimum of three years of healthcare management experience, corrections setting preferred.

- Experience in personnel selection, training, scheduling, progressive discipline and termination.

- Excellent knowledge in the development and management of correctional health care delivery systems.

- Demonstrated ability to interact positively with the client, patients, staff, and the management team.

-  Ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively.

- Possess the capacity to work in a high stress, high paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

- Computer experience in word processing and spreadsheets. 

- Have a strong desire to have a significant role in the success of an innovative health services program.
