Academic Director

The Academic Director (AD) is responsible for the overall education administration and management of assigned Empire Education Group campus.  The AD is responsible for creating and sustaining academic and professional excellence for students and educators.

Core Areas of Responsibility:

Academic System Management

·         Curriculum, Methodology, Products, Services Delivery

Educator Management

·         Educator hiring, training, coaching, advising and mentoring, scheduling, and Continuing Education

Academic Operations

·         Retention, attendance, Satisfactory Progress, Inventory Management

Technology

·         General PC Applications, willingness to learn Empire systems – Team Board, CLASS, Super Salon, Time Star

Student Management

·         Scheduling, advising, customer service

Compliance

·         State and NACCAS Regulations, quality visits, outcomes

Leadership

·         School management in the absence of the Executive Director

Preferred Education and Experience requirements:

-       Cosmetology Operators License (2-4 years salon experience)

-       Cosmetology Teacher License (2-4 years teaching experience)

        o   Empire will send qualified candidates that meet all other requirements through the Teachers Program to become a Licensed Educator

-       Bachelors Degree preferred but not required (3-5 years of academic management experience)
