1.       Performs routine and complex exams in the lab, at the patient’s bedside and the   Intensive Care Units.

2.       Serves as an instructor for new personnel and provides inservicing of others.

3.       Instructs and oversees the performance of studies by non-certified technicians.

4.       Performs routing EEG exams to include sleep EEG and MSLT’s

5.       Performs Evoke Potential tests to include AEP, VEP and SEP.

6.       Performs nerve conduction study and then assist physician with EMG exam.

7.       Performs Transcranial Doppler exams.

8.       Consults with neurologists for interpretation of test results

9.       Maintains records for documentation in-patients chart.

10.   Provides daily account of patient’s charge requisitions with appropriate ICD9 codes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A.     Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1.        Graduate from accredited school in Neurophysiology or 2 years experience.

2.       Ability to use good judgment in stressful emergency situations

3.        Adequate mathematics skill to maintain accurate records and reports.

1.       Two years experience and able to perform diagnostic tests that meet Neurology Board Standards.

1.       Board certified in at least on modality (EEG, EP, EMG or TCD)
