SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs variety of complex supervisory, administrative, and technical work in the development, installation, and maintenance of LAN and WAN systems. Participates in the study of vender products to determine those which best meet County needs. Assist in presentations of information
to management resulting in purchase and/or installation of hardware, software and telecommunications equipment.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; minimum of 2-year certificate in data processing, computer science, microcomputer or related field; or 4 years of progressive experience in work related directly to Microsoft networking, IBM I – Series, PC’s and related technologies; or a combination of experience and college to equal 4 years. Certified Network Engineer (CNE, CCNE, MSCE, etc.) certification or equivalent experience. Experience in configuring Routers, Firewalls, switches and Hubs. Experience configuring supporting IBM I- Series systems.
