Pediatric Medical Office Floor Nurse
Busy pediatric medical practice seeks energetic, friendly full time pediatric nurse located in Kettering, Ohio
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM including monthly Saturday rotation 8:00 AM - 12 PM
Job Responsibilities for the Pediatric Medical Office Floor Nurse:
- Room Patients
- Evaluation of child including taking vitals and a medical history
- Administering immunizations
- Performing various lab duties, throat cultures, urinalysis, catheterizations, nasal swabs, etc.
- Familiar with nebulizer and suctioning equipment
- Venipuncture
- Providing parent and patient education
- Assisting physicians when necessary
- Stocking rooms
Requirements
Job Requirements for the Pediatric Medical Office Floor Nurse:
- Possess a current Registered Nurse license, Licensed Practical Nurse license or Certified Medical Assistant Certificate
- Current CPR certification
- Pediatric office experience required
- Outgoing energetic personality
- Team Player
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Possess exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Must be able to work well under pressure while maintaining quality care and efficient patient flow
- Communication and problem solving skills necessary
- Basic computer skills
- Requires extensive standing, bending and lifting
