The "Mountain View College 2008-2012 Strategic Plan" is the product of over half a year of the collegial and participative work of MVC faculty, students, professionals support staff, and administrators. The process began at the Strategic Planning Retreat on April 27-28, 2006, attended by 45 MVC employees and students. Subcommittees from that group met during the summer of 2006 to further refine the work began in April.

This is a Part-time (Hours Vary) position in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Science Department. This position will teach Government courses using a variety of teaching modalities in a classroom environment and perform other duties expected of a part-time faculty member as specified in the DCCCD contract.
The ideal candidate will participate enthusiastically in recruitment and retention activities, contribute to the department’s curriculum development efforts.
Resume and official transcripts will be required.
A criminal background check will be conducted.
Requires professional demeanor, good communications skills, interpersonal skills, writing syllabi, exams and ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse background.
Develop multimedia instruction to meet a variety of learning styles. Must be willing to utilize computer technology to support learning opportunities for the students and facilitate student to instructor communication.
Master’s degree or higher and 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
Excellent computer (software and Internet) skills, oral/written communication skills are also needed to interact with students of varying socio-economic backgrounds.
