RF Team Manager

 

 

Our client is currently seeking a manager with a radio frequency (RF) engineering background to lead a team of RF engineers on programs with radar, communication, and electronic warfare (EW) system applications. The selected candidate will be an outstanding leader with expertise in RF design technologies and the ability to lead a growing team of RF engineers.

Responsibilities:
• Functional leadership of an RF engineering team, including recruitment, mentoring, professional development, and performance management.
• Support business development including proposal preparation.
• Work closely with military customers and other defense contractors.
• Provide RF team leadership on development programs.
• Track cost, schedule, and performance of RF related tasks.
• Provide technical leadership of RF engineering efforts including design, production support, and field test.

Requirements

 

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of twelve or more years engineering experience in military RF systems or components.
• Previous management/supervisory experience (with at least 5-7 direct reports preferred) including staffing responsibility, performance management, as well as technical team leadership.
• Hands on experience in the design of microwave assemblies for military applications including radar, communications, and EW systems.
• Must possess outstanding leadership skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible team player with the ability to manage stressful situations and adapt to rapidly changing program requirements.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering is strongly preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
