Description

OBJECTIVE:

The successful candidate will excel at establishing and maintaining meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships with our current commercial landscape management clients and will be effective in cultivating new relationships with potential clients in the Bret Achtenhagen's Seasonal Services target market. These clients shall be educated about and encouraged to purchase any products or services that Bret Achtenhagen's Seasonal Services provides.   


 

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE - BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Sales of all landscaping services that Seasonal Services has to offer with a primary focus on landscape management services..
  2. Cultivate new relationships with commercial property managers in the Seasonal Services target market.
  3. Continue to promote quality relationships with current clients.
  4. Ask current clients to renew annual landscape management contracts.
  5. Grow renewable landscape management annual contract base each year.
  6. Meet with production managers to discuss project considerations.
  7. Work with coworkers to assure a positively excellent client experience.
  8. Estimate standard services within the landscape management division.
  9. Submit estimates and simple designs for non-standard services to a designer/estimator for approval.
  10. Prepare, present and follow up on all submitted landscaping proposals.
  11. Asses the future landscaping needs of recently completed construction projects and encourage the client to maintain a long-term relationship with Seasonal Services.

 

SECONDARY DUTIES INCLUDE - BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Measure, inventory and assess client sites to define any and all landscaping needs and ensure accurate estimating.
  2. Evaluate sites not only for requested landscaping services but any and all other potential landscaping needs.
  3. Serve as the V.P. of all sales and marketing efforts.  The shall include goal setting, performance monitoring and performance management.
  4. Confirm that the Production Manager's and Project Coordinators's have a complete understanding of each project's scope before services begin.
  5. Periodically visit sites under annual contract to confirm quality and determine that client’s needs are being met.
  6. Review marketing, vendor and product updates and other related tasks.
  7. Keep up to date with current market trends and industry information.
  8. Participate in job cost analysis and reviews.
  9. Review projects for successes and/or challenges and implement adjustments for future projects.
  10. Make recommendations for continually improving our clients’ experience.
  11. Participate in reviewing the sales and marketing tools and process make recommendations.
Requirements

PRIOR EDUCATION OR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  1. Four year college degree in marketing or similar studies and/or five years of landscape sales experience .
  2. Personal annual sales history in excess $500,000.00.

REQUIRED COMPANY COURSES:

  1. Irrigation training
  2. Safety training
  3. Landscape lighting training
  4. Asset (industry software) training

ONGOING EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Twelve (12) hours of continuing education annually - approved by V.P. of Sales & Marketing

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Valid drivers license with clean record.
  2. CLT – Certified Landscape Technician - May be obtained after hiring.
  3. State of Wisconsin Pesticide License - May be obtained after hiring.
