Skilled nurses and pharmacists are accessible 24/7 to deliver and manage complex infusion and injectable therapies from more than 100 OptionCare home infusion and specialty pharmacies in 35 states. OptionCare's services also include respiratory therapy and home medical equipment at some locations.



Job Duties Include:  


Responsible for facilitating the timely evaluation and acceptance of patients referred for service in order to meet the needs of the patient and customers as requested. Speak knowledgeably of the scope of services that are available through Walgreens-Option Care. Works with the department in order to manage the acceptance of incoming referrals. Ensures insurance coverage verification and initial prior authorization. Accurately completes and maintains the patient referral log.


 

Requirements

 

  • Associate or bachelors degree in a health related field.
  • 1-2 years experience as a supervisor.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • One to two years experience in Home Health industry.
  • Ability to negotiate pricing for non-contracted services.
  • Ability to handle stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to the office and attend required meetings.

  • Preferred Qualifications:


    Registered Nurse with 1-2 years experience as a Home Health Care Manager or equivalent.  Management training or degree.  Two years of reimbursement and/or insurance verification experience in Home Care.  Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement guidelines.
