Regional Marketing Manager
Job Description:
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing with implementing and creating marketing techniques and materials that will favorably project the bank’s image in the assigned geographic region. This includes developing marketing materials, sales promotion tools, organizing publicity efforts and community events, and completing special projects. Follows all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, and keeps the Director of Marketing informed concerning developments in his/her area of responsibility.
Assigned region will include Sioux City and Des Moines, IA, as well as, Omaha,NE.
and is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Responsibilities and Duties:

Works with the managers within the assigned region to ascertain pertinent data to develop annual marketing plans for special initiatives and/or sales programs to ultimately support management’s strategic plan. This includes working with the Director of Marketing to develop annual budgets that support the marketing plans for the assigned region. (10% - E)

Under the guidance of the Director of Marketing, coordinates advertising programs with managers, the Compliance Department, vendors, and advertising agencies while ensuring that advertising products and their distribution are within budget, compliance, and within assigned deadlines. (15% - E)

Acts as the liaison between the Director of Marketing and managers within assigned region to develop, produce, and implement needed advertising and/or external communication materials. May also assist with coordinating special events and promotions such as meetings, trade shows, grand openings, and open houses. (15% - E)

Assists in the development and production of the bank’s sales and promotion tools, including brochures, posters, displays, banners and specialty items. Utilizes production strategies that maximize the shelf-life of all materials produced and/or purchased. (10% - E)

Visits Banking Centers within assigned region periodically to evaluate the perception of the facility from a marketing standpoint (posters, brochures, signage, excess clutter, etc.). (10% - E)

Provides support to associates responsible for business development (i.e. prospect identification, market information). (5% - E)

Collects secondary data and prepare market and demographic report/analysis (i.e. competitive profiles, demographic data, product reviews, etc.) to assist managers within assigned region. (5% - E)

Works with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement primary market research projects (i.e. customer surveys, employee surveys, etc.). (5% - E)

Visits with marketing related vendors or sales representatives to assess whether products or services they are soliciting may be of interest to the bank. Shares the ideas or offers which may be beneficial with the Director of Marketing to determine if a second meeting is warranted. (10% - E)

Coordinates internal and external pubic relations functions. This may include identifying internal events or occasions at Banking Centers within the assigned region that promotes the company image and provides opportunity for free publicity with local and regional media. (5% - E)

Represents the bank in community events and activities within the assigned region. (5% - E)

All other special projects, reports and duties as assigned. (5% - E)
Requirements

Must possess the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

Must have excellent computer skills (especially word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and publishing/design programs).

Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.

Organizational skills, attention to details and a college degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or related field and/or significant relevant professional experience is required.

A valid motor vehicle operator’s license and/or the ability to travel to Great Southern locations as needed is required.

5+ years professional experience in a Marketing related position preferred.
