Job Description
DirectBuy is an international company that enables its members to avoid traditional markup and purchase an unprecedented selection of quality merchandise at unparalleled prices at our exclusive members-only showrooms.  DirectBuy of St. Paul is actually located in White Bear Lake.

The primary job of the Service Specialist is to provide customer support services to members of DirectBuy.  We are a catalog based members-only showroom.  This means members purchase directly from the manufacturer's catalogs.  DirectBuy works with over 700 manufacturers.  These manufacturers are from nearly every product catagory.  (appliances, furniture, electronics, building materials etc...)

Other responsibilities include:
  • Assist members with their purchasing needs which includes researching out and finding products in all catagories.  Service Specialists assist members in our showroom and also over the internet. 
  • Maintain computer-based order-related messages
  • Contact members with information regarding their purchase orders
  • Resolve any purchase order challenges that occur prior to delivery
  • Process payment
  • Maintain the showroom

 
Hours:

The Service Specialist will work Tuesday - Saturday.  Shifts will vary however the hours of operation are:  Monday-Friday 10:45AM - 9:00PM and Saturday 8:45AM - 5:00PM.  Your availability during these hours is a must.


Part-Time to Full-Time
We are looking to hire starting at a Part-Time level moving to Full-Time.  This transition will depend on the candidate.

 
Job Requirements
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, problem solving and computer skills
  • Ability to serve members via the telephone and email.  Must be well spoken.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Professional attire and attitude
  • Furniture, design and or home building experience a must
