JOB SUMMARY:

  • Perform basic cashier duties of sales order entry and payment processing.
  • Promote and exemplify a culture of excellence in customer care, ensuring that a positive and enjoyable Ashley Furniture HomeStore customer experience is cultivated in all phases of the sales process.
  • Participate in training and achieve learning objectives to ensure consistent execution of work processes, procedures and policies, and successful implementation of new processes.
  • Continually analyzes work processes and recommends improvements to Office Supervisor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service with both internal and external customers, on the phone and in person.
  • Perform all duties according to established office policies and procedures.
  • Enter sales orders and process payments.
  • Separate and file paperwork in proper locations. .
  • Handle customer inquiries on sales, billing, and delivery dates.
  • Review and process credit applications according to finance company instructions.
  • Complete and balance daily cash and sales reports.
  • Handles incoming calls.  Uses appropriate paging methods.
  • Participate in daily meetings to understand and develop personal strategies for performance improvement
  • Implement recommendations from Office Supervisor communicated during coaching or performance improvement sessions.
  • Strive to achieve or exceed team and individual performance goals and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in computer applications and associated processes used for sales entry and payments.
  • Maintains reliable attendance and adheres to work schedule.
  • Complete other assignments and special projects as requested
