Director of Surgical Services
Salary Range: $100,000 to $125,000 base
Location: 75 miles from Dallas,TX

This brand new facility needs an Operating Room professional to direct all operations of Surgical and all related service departments. Part of a larger area system, this facility prizes the quality of it’s staff and their customer satisfaction.
Job Description:
The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for the Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, Outpatient Surgery areas, Anesthesia, and Central Sterilization. Areas of responsibility include fiscal and personnel management, operations, quality, and long range planning.
RN required. Must have a strong clinical background in surgical services as well as demonstrated management expertise at the Director level.
· Responsible for 9 ORs in Acute, 3 in Women’s and 4 being added for outpatient for a total of
16. Currently surgical services departments are fully staffed.
· Currently at 625 surgeries/month of all kinds and 60,000 minutes per month.
· Assists with team development of skills and professional growth.
· Leads team in the development of standards for content and consistency between
departments and within the facility.
· Keeps abreast of developments and innovations in technology and makes
recommendations accordingly.
· Deploys clinical education resources as needed.
· Oversees the planning, coordination, and development of the surgical services departments
and the needs of the clinical staff.
· Collaborates with clinical management and physicians to make improvements in productivity and work-flow.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· 5 years minimum experience in surgical services management, 2 years minimum at
Director level
· Solid Operating Room business skills
· Positive attitude and can-do demeanor
