Description
The Software Development Manager, will be responsible for the full life cycle management (planning, designing, developing / testing, implementing) of software products with the specific goals of building and delivering products within the planned scope, schedule, cost, and quality that satisfies the stakeholder. The candidate must have strong experience in SDLC, strong communication, strong customer support skills, and be driven to deliver a successful solution. Also, the correct candidate is required to have strong backend and front end experience, and must be a 'hands on' individual. The candidate must have strong experience in J2EE programming and SQL They will be responsible for developing BSS, Order management, provisioning, SOA/ESB applications, supervise cross-product development projects and support deployments. All these will be key in improving the delivery of existing services to our customers, and the future deployment of wireless as well.
The manager’s technical focus should be managing the development of custom in-house and COTS-enabled web-based enterprise applications, but will also include middleware and data integration activities, including SOA and other integration platforms. The manager will be a champion to the SOA initiatives at BHN, and will be a key contributor to SOA governance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development and integration of APIs and services based on business requirements
- Participate and work collaboratively with corporate architects
- Perform analysis, design, development, and validation of the order management (OMSe) and provisioning platform.
- Lead the software delivery of SOA services and components including BPEL and ESB
- Provide input, and help guide the maturing of SOA governance at BHN.
- Guide the development team to design, develop and test new SOA based application functionality according to documented specifications
- Lead the development of software solutions for the support of wireless; this includes but not limited to device provisioning, network provisioning, Home Location Register (HLR) infrastructure integration, and subscriber management
- Development of Customer Care software solutions, and integration with existing call center technologies.
- Plan and manage multiple project task assignments, establish personal timelines and delivery against deadlines
- Provide software development resources to develop or integrate applications and tools to support the delivery of BHN services
- Formulate and continue to improve the “hand-off” of software from development to the Application Support team
- Design, develop and implement interfaces to third party hardware and software systems
