Description
Our client, a Southern California financial services company, is seeking a Web Analytics professional to be based in its Irvine, CA office.
As the Web Information Analyst, you will support the web analytics needs of our websites. You will leverage web behavioral data to provide strategic and operational decision support by:
- Analyzing web usage data to derive deeper learnings and insights about the site experience and the web users
- Creating holistic dashboards/reports and analysis from varied data sources for presentation to the Web and Business management teams
- Leading and driving insights from data to suggest and or create improvements/efficiencies to our web sites
The Web Information Analyst will also seek to incorporate industry standard web analytics best practices and methodologies (e.g., testing and behavioral targeting) into Web operations. In addition, you’ll work with the technology team to identify gaps in data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements.

Requirements
At least 3-5 years of web analytics experience (5-10 years exp overall)
- Qualified candidates should have experience in a similar role utilizing an industry standard web analytics toolset (Omniture is desired)
- Proven experience mining web behavioral data with the purpose of supporting decisions and identifying opportunities for the web
- Possess a strong penchant for understanding cause and effect
- Proficient in statistical methods/tools to leverage statistics in analysis
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of cross functional team
- Comfortable working with ambiguous concepts/direction and distilling them into sound deliverables
- Effective and persuasive communications (verbal and written)
- Proficient database skills (e.g, query, SQL) and Microsoft suite (e.g, Powerpoint, excel)
