Watermark's Commitment to Diversity
The great poet Maya Angelou may have said it best: We are more alike than we are unalike. At Watermark Retirement Communities, we embrace our similarities while celebrating and learning from our differences. And the more we can learn from each other, the more we all benefit.
That's why we respect and value all individuals regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, physical ability, sexual orientation, gender identity and national origin. But we don't stop there. We take it a step further to include diversity of viewpoint, experience, talents, strengths and ideas, and we empower people to express their true selves. That goes for our associates who give their heart and soul to continually improve and enhance Watermark communities, as well as our residents who make them truly extraordinary places to live. Watermark Retirement Communities is an Equal Opportunity Employer(EOE) company.
Our respect for diversity permeates everything we do. It's illustrated every single day, in every interaction and every decision we make. We sum it up in three commitments:
- We create a culture which celebrates diversity in all forms, benefitting both residents and associates.
- We treat our co-workers, investors, vendors, community partners, our residents and their family members with respect and dignity in all interactions.
- We welcome people of all backgrounds to live, work and thrive in our communities.
Sure, it's the right thing to do, but it turns out, it's also good for business. Embracing diversity allows our associates and residents to reach their full potential - both personally and professionally. In this way, our diversity makes us stronger, smarter, happier, and it just makes working and living in Watermark Retirement Communities better for everyone. And we're definitely committed to that.
